as a part of 100 Years Later
Two-Channel Video Installation
HD Digital, B&W, Aspect Ratio: 16:9, 10 minutes (loop), 2014
A hundred years after Hokusai’s death, I traveled to the sea and the mountain that inspired his works.
There, I found that the landscapes turned upside-down. Both the sea and the mountain are on the place which belonged to the sky.
This work is an investigation of exoticism of both space and time.
